Citi names India commercial banking head
Bhanu Vohra has held senior roles across diverse businesses in Asia-Pacific and EMEA

Citi has appointed Bhanu Vohra as head of commercial banking, India. Based in Mumbai, he reports to Citi India chief executive officer Ashu Khullar and in the region to the head of Citi Commercial Bank (CCB) Asia-Pacific, Rajat Madhok.

Vohra replaces Tushar Vikram, who becomes the global head of healthcare for CCB.

CCB in India banks 45% of the country’s unicorns and is focused on developing deep industry expertise to support clients across healthcare, chemicals, consumer, technology, industrials, digital and multinationals, among other sectors.

Vohra joined Citi in 2000 and has held senior roles spanning diverse businesses in the Asia-Pacific and EMEA regions. He worked in Citi’s global markets businesses in both regions before returning to India to become country head of the global subsidiaries group in Citi’s banking, capital markets and advisory (BCMA) business.

He has also held positions in Citi’s treasury and trade services as well as operations and technology. He is a chartered accountant by qualification.
