Temasek Trust’s Catalytic Capital for Climate and Health ( C3H ) has led a US$1.2 million funding round – with participation from UK-based family office, the Richardson Family – in Singapore artificial intelligence ( AI ) healthtech company injewelme to scale contactless health monitoring for climate-related health risks.
The funding will support further development of injewelme’s DeepHealthVision technology, which uses a standard camera to measure more than 20 vital health parameters in around 30 seconds.
The solution, powered by in-house software and predictive AI, has demonstrated, according to the company, “an industry-leading 95% accuracy in real-world pilots and developed further to detect more health parameters”.
The technology has been trialled with SingHealth Polyclinics and partners in the private sector, such as SJ Group’s SJ Integrated Solutions. It is currently being evaluated for broader deployment across healthcare, eldercare, insurance and workplace safety settings.
The funds raised will also, the company notes, accelerate its customer acquisition efforts in Singapore and support its expansion into new markets within Southeast Asia.
As a strategic partner, C3H will also facilitate injewelme’s access to partners across the Temasek Trust ecosystem and wider industry networks to help accelerate commercial deployment and inform product development.
